Several updates to functionality have been added in VolunteerHub. Each update in this release is listed below.
Admin 2.0 Tip: Additional Information Links for Events
Classic Admin included a field for inserting links for additional information within the Event Details. This field does not exist in Admin 2.0. All events which contained a link for this field when created in Classic Admin have had those links moved to the event's Detailed Description. To create additional information links for newly created events, follow the steps in this article.
Search Fields Allow 2 Character Searches
Previously, searches required a minimum of 3 characters; this has been lowered to 2 characters.
Confirmation Email Option for Manually Registered/Removed Users
A checkbox has been added to allow administrators to decide whether or not they'd like to send a confirmation email when manually registering or removing a user from within an event. This option defaults to checked.
Note: Emails are only sent for current or future events. Registering or removing a user to a past event will not trigger an email regardless of the box being checked or not.
Remove from Waitlist Option in Registration Ellipsis Menu
A 'Remove from Waitlist' option is now present in the ellipsis menu for user registrations to make managing waitlisted users quicker. When a user is removed from the waitlist, they will receive a confirmation email.
Users' Emails Appear in Notification Emails to Event Contact
The email address for users now appears in the notification emails to the event contact when a user registers or cancels their registration. The 'reply-to' for these emails is directed to that user's email address as well.
Descriptions Visible on Uploads Page
The description of an uploaded file will now display without having to expand the file's name.
