There are a few places you might find contact information within your site. Below are the most common areas you might find it, along with how to update it.

Event Contact

This is the person from whom the automatic event confirmation, reminder and thank-you emails come, as well as the person to which replies to those emails will go. This person's name will appear in the Detail page of your events in the volunteer-facing schedule (called the Volunteer View). The Event Contact must have a user account in your site, but does not have to be a Superuser (administrator).

To update the Event Contact on a recurring event (called a Recurrence Master), navigate to Recurrence Masters from the main menu, click on the one you want to update, and click Edit. Scroll down to the Event Contact field and begin to type in your username or another user's name. Select the correct user then click Save.

To update the Event Contact on a stand-alone event (called a Single Occurrence) or a specific instance of a Recurrence Master, simply click the name of the event from the schedule and click EditScroll down to the Event Contact field and begin to type in your username or another user's name. Select the correct user then click Save.

Organization Contact

This is the person from whom automatic Account Created emails come when a new user creates an account.

To update your organization's Organization Contact information, navigate to Settings > Organization and change the user listed in the Organization Contact field. This user must belong to the "Superusers" user group. Be sure to click Save after selecting the user.

Landing Page Messages

You may also find contact information in text areas throughout the Volunteer View, specifically in the following locations:

  • Above the schedule of events
  • On the left side of the Sign In page
  • On the left side of the page when creating a new user account
  • On the left side of the Join Code page

These are your site's Landing Page Messages, which are editable welcome and instructional messages specific to the pages they fall on.

To update your site's messages, navigate to Landing Pages from the main menu, click the ellipses menu to the right of the "default" landing page, and choose Edit Landing Page. Please refer to the first instructions in Section 2 of our Gettting Started Guide for further detail and recommendations for your site's messages.
