If you already know which volunteers you'd like to manually register for an event, we recommend that you post the activity with no sign-up button.


However, another solution might be to make your event waitlist-only, which replaces the Sign Up button with a Join Waitlist button. 

  1. Navigate to the event. 
  2. Click on the ellipsis (...) button to the right of the Unaffiliated reservation and select Edit User Group Reservation.
  3. Ensure "0" is entered in the Slots Reserved field.
  4. Set Reservation Overflow to No.
  5. Set Waitlist to Yes.
  6. Click Save.

You can access the Registered Users page periodically to view registrations. To officially register someone for the event (thereby removing them from the waitlist and triggering the event's confirmation email):

  1. Click the ellipsis (...) button beside the user's name and choose Remove from Waitlist.

Utilize an 'Event Registration Question' on the event to gather information about the potential volunteers to assist in the selection.
