If you have an event that you only want a certain group of people to be able to register for, this can be accomplished by reserving the event for a User Group.  

Below are the steps generally taken to accomplish this, with links to further details of each step:

  1. If you haven't already, create a user group for that group.
  2. Reserve the event for that group.
    1. Ensure that the number of slots reserved is equal to the slot limit set on the event.  This makes sure no one other than the reserved group may register.
  3. If you haven't already, create a landing page for the group that both automatically joins any visitor to the group AND only displays their specific reserved events: 


  4. Send that landing page's URL to the group leader and instruct them to circulate the link to those who will attend.

If you don't want any other volunteers even seeing the event, set the 'Event Visibility' to "Hide this event when registration is deactivated."  This means only those who can register (the users of the reserved group) can see the event.
