Adding a Question
A question can be added to an event (or template), which requires the volunteer to answer as part of their registration.
The question displays as part of the registration wizard for the event and is requires a response.
Seeing Responses
Administrators can review the responses from within the Event on the Admin side via the new 'Answers' tab.
Responses are also reportable within the Custom Event Registrations report by adding 'Event Registration Question' from the Column Chooser.
- The question format is 'text'.
- Questions have a character limit of 200, and answers 50.
- Those registering via the Kiosk must provide a response.
- Volunteers have until the end of the event to modify their response and can do so by clicking the 'Modify' option from Volunteer View for the event.
Use-Case Examples
- What is your shirt size?
- This question could be on the User Form instead, but for orgs that only provide shirts for specific events, asking on the event may make more sense.
- Do you have any dietary restrictions?
- For events where meals are being provided.
- What time will you be arriving?
- For events with flexible schedules.
- What meal will you be serving?
- For events where the volunteer is signing up to provide a meal.
- Please specify the number and age of any children accompanying you (if none, please type 'none').
- For events where parents may be bringing children, but they should not be counted as 'volunteers'.
- What information are you hoping to learn about the organization?
- For tours and orientations to help build an agenda.
